Five Crows Forage in Wittunga Park

by Martha Landman

their stomachs full
they take flight en masse
swooping through the air
their caw-cawcophony
murders the Sunday silence

I love crows so much. I live by the woods along a winding old creek. I awaken before dawn to the calls of crows - watch them every day in the tree-tops, and call back to them to bid them good-morning - all's well when the crows come calling.
